Former BBC newsreader suffers a memory lapse |

Members of the independent media organization We Are Change UK questioned ex-BBC newsreader Philip Hayton about the early reporting of 7 WTC's collapse on 9/11 during a speaking appearance. Hayton failed to recollect even being in the studio, but then recalls the situation (after it is described in detail in a video shown to him), including the actions of Jane Standley prematurely reporting on-site the collapse by more than twenty minutes in advance with the building still visible in the background. That tape is lost says the BBC.
Richard Porter, the BBC's Director of Communications, would go on to say in 2007 that: “We no longer have the original tapes of our 9/11 coverage (for reasons of cock-up, not conspiracy)...†Source BBC |
